What is Joomla and How to download and Install Joomla

Hi again friends..Today i am going to tell you something related to web Development. We all know that Joomla is one of most popular  Content Management System in the world (CMS).

Joomla! is a free and open source content management system (CMS) for publishing content on the World Wide Web and intranets and a model–view–controller (MVC) Web application framework that can also be used independently.

Joomla! is written in PHP, uses object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques and software design patterns, stores data in a MySQL database, and includes features such as page caching, RSS feeds, printable versions of pages, news flashes, blogs, polls, search, and support for language internationalization.

Joomla had been downloaded 23 million times.Between March 2007 and February 2011 there had been more than 21 million downloads.There are over 7,400 free and commercial extensions available from the official Joomla! Extension Directory and more available from other sources

By using  Joomla we can Design Or Develop Very attractive web sites.. As example you can see below pictures. There  are so many examples and modules in Joomla.We can easily use this plugins and modules for our own purpose. As a example we don’t want to design Image galleries, sliders from our headings. There are so many modules and we can easily configure those modules in our web sites..

Now you know Joomla has written by using PHP  and to run PHP in your computer you can easily use WAMP server inside windows or you can use LAMP for linux. You can install and test Joomla in your local host.
